Delivery

Option 1- 2 day Course ($150.00)

Formal training and theory assessment for this course is delivered over one (2) days using a combination of face-to-face classroom and practical activity sessions.

Option 2- Workbook plus I day in Class ($130.00)

Work book is completed by participant prior to attending 1 day. Training and theory assessment is delivered over 1 day using a combination of face to face classroom and practical activity sessions.

Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisites, however participants must be 14 years or older. Participants under 14 years must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian

Units of Competency

This unit incorporates the content of units:

· HLTCPR201A Perform CPR

· HLTFA201A Provide basic emergency life support

Outcomes

The course teaches the skills and knowledge required to provide First Aid response, life support, management of casualties the incident and other first aiders until\ the arrival of medical or other assistance.

This is the advised minimum requirement by Workplace Health and Safety legislation for the Workplace First Aider.

Upon completion of the training associated with this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attendance.

Upon successful completion of all assessments (theory and practical) associated with this course participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTFA301B – Apply first Aid.

Assessment Requirements

Allstate Training & Consulting offers a hands on approach with progressive assessments throughout the course including multiple choice course questionnaires. This is competency based training so our aim is to provide you with a total understanding of basic first aid.

Additional Information

This accreditation is current for 3 years in which time it must be renewed. The CPR module of the course is current for 12 months and requires re-accreditation annually.
